Technically if you just ask to see the interesting things they aren't supposed to tell you what ones are available to see. If you specifically ask to see something like the sword, then they will show it to you. Of course if you go to the Manti Temple the same thing applies. I went through the Nauvoo Temple afew weeks ago with my wife, and the only real thing I wanted to see was the Assembly Room.
