Original Latter-day Saint Temple Architectural Drawings

I recently found some great original architectural drawings of the Nauvoo Temple and Salt Lake Temple.  They are on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' website.

There are only a few drawings of the Nauvoo Temple, but they do let you see how the design changed over time.  The Salt Lake Temple plans are extensive and show numerous changes that are quite fascinating.  You can even see what are essentially shop drawings of every course of stones for the temple.

    These are fantastic! I was also unaware these were available to the general public. I assumed the church had them, but wasn't expecting them to digitize all of them and make them available online.

    On the Navoo drawings why is there one named 'masionic hall'?

    Because the drawings set also includes that building. It was used as a public building in Nauvoo and is the current Cultural Hall.

    My Dad brought the Nauvoo Drawings back to the Church after the Weeks family gave them too him on his mission in California in 1948. One of the drawings has some sketches of a sailboat on them when Week's grandson couldn't find any paper in the house to draw on. http://mormonhistoricsites.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/MHS3.1Spring2002Bennion.pdf
